After an extensive search to find an ultra durable yet thin material, I tracked down a technical fabric mill capable of producing exactly what I was after. They create materials for such companies as The North Face®, Under Armour®, and even Gore®... the makers of Gore-Tex®.

In order to fund the huge minimum quantity required to produce it, the Kickstarter community helped raise over $150k and the Soft Shell was born.

Note: Is the color you're looking for sold out? You can actually get a Non-RFID version and add the . Or simply get a RFID version and remove the metallic shielding. Both versions are almost exactly the same thickness so that doesn't make much difference.
